I wish to fully support this forum above all else.

That said, what is the Admin/Owners position regarding 'advertising' or 'product support' by other companies in members posts?

For example, a few companies have helped me and I should like to help them by promoting their products in my posts, signature and photos. How does the Admin/Owner feel about this, please?

    Many thanks.

I've put a post it note on his locker in the office, think he's out picking Bubotubers at the moment as his gauntlets and collecting box are missing:)

        KevinH,

Zigs and Webmaster and I have discussed your request, and we feel that there is already a place for any retailer feedback you might want to give.

        http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/forums/retailer-feedback.49/

Please remember though, the feedback you give represents your opinion based on your personal experience with them.

Hmm, worried now I may have breeched something? :dunno: FC began a thread about shelving for greenhouses. I offered an option. Another user asked my opinion on the company associated with the option I'd suggested (potentially, an "in thread" recommendation?)

I have no affiliation with the company I linked to (other than as a customer) and it was only to give an alternative; but, as the conversation developed, it would appear that I could be construed as "promoting" that company (which I'm not! I'm merely saying I had good service; and even that only came because I was *asked*).

If I was wrong to do so, please edit my posts accordingly (no offense will be taken).

You could start a scare here, Mum:runforhills::heehee: As you know Gardeners Corner does have Rules and Protocols regarding Advertising and Spamming with both Admin and members on the constant look out for any breaches. As Clueless pointed out there is a thread for genuine recommendations. But also during a thread on certain subjects a member will ask if anyone knows of a, for example, seed supplier and several members will respond. So while the policy is there we also have to accept that in certain cases a recommendation will be made. Should Admin or a member report a post or thread as breaching the Rules and Protocols we would investigate and decide either way. In the case you've mentioned, Mum, I think we can safely say there has been no breach in the eyes of Admin or members.:snork:

Thank you, arm; I am relieved to hear I'm not in the dog house (it is rather cramped in there since Ozzy took residence! Not to mention his toys!!!)

But, sincerely, if I breach - bite me! :heehee:

It is getting a bit cramped in the Dog House now, especially as Ziggy and I have been having our Lunch in there and sharing with Ozzy.

          Anybody would think we're Vampires!!:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

joss sticks are still popular Sheal, possibly even enjoying a massive revival seeing as everyone is buddhist/taoist/shaman now:)
