Is there an online dictionary specifically for flower/plants/roses etc which help with the pronuciation of their names? I have found a few dictonaries online, which have the audio facility, but none of them is "technical", so to speak.

Jings, that's a hard one Miraflores.
How things are pronounced in English might depend on where you are and local style.
English dictionaries always have a bit to show the pronounciation of the word - but I think it's written in heiroglyphics !
Can you give us a few examples of words you're having problems with and maybe we can help with the pronounciation - but you might get as many opinions as you get answers :rolleyespink:

Oh my, the pronunciation of plant names can be a minefield! Most people, including me, have trouble pronouncing extended latin names but even the English names can trip up up people. I don't know of anywhere which properly explains the pronunciation of English names. Listening to people in the UK pronouncing English names can lead to a scratching of heads, a quizzical look and a bemused smile because of our different accents and personal interpretation of a name, and that includes me. If you do not live in the UK that can cause a further problem but as a eminent gardener used to say "Don't worry about saying the name correctly while talking to another gardener as they will, with a smile, understand!!" I'm sure that when you pronounce a name incorrectly another gardener will kindly correct you with his or her way of saying the name.

Clematis springs to mind (I say it with the accent on the "clem"). People can get quite heated about it :th_scifD36:
