Pruning hedge anyone cut theres yet

    Scotkat our privet hedge although looking slightly better now that there are no hedge jumpers about still hasn't grown enough to get unruly so I think it will be a while yet before we do the 'first cut'.Hel.xxx.

    you can cut hedges as long as there is an r in the month so the farmers say

    If it looks like it needs a cut then do it, Between the properties I work on I cut hedges 12 months of the year.

    The only hedge I like to leave late B4 cutting is Beech and only so as I can get away with two cuts a year.

    I Only cut my Wildlife hedge Ie Hawthorn Alder,Field Maple ,Dog Rose ,Blackthorn Biannually late Winter. [​IMG]
