    Hello fellow gardeners
can anyone give me some advice please, I have a prunus autumnalis rosea tree which is about 8 years old, there seems to be a lot of dead wood on the branches, it is in
flower at the moment, but only on the very tops of the branches, would I be able to
cut out all the dead wood and hope it springs back to life or should I get rid of it and
start again with a fresh new tree.
I would be grateful for any advice.
    Regards

cut out the dead wood now and then give it a prune after flowering - others might say thaat it is best to prune in June but I've found April/
    ay to be ok.

    Try cutting back about 1/3rd
