    I have a rather large one of these, beautiful when in bloom but a bitter variety.

    Two years ago we had it drastically cut back by more than half. It has grown back well but this year with the heat is taking its toll. This is how it looks today. :frown:

    That is the Jacaranda mimosifolio to the left, the Callistemon viminalis in front centre and Melaleuca trunk leaning to the rights and growing a hedge at the base!

    That was a bit of a non-descript post. I think what I wanted to say is that tonight we were talking about having it cut back drastically, even moreso, this year as the leaves have never looked this dead this time of year.
