    This is Pulsatilla grandis, a lovely Lilac coloured European Pulsatilla. The seed for this one was collected in Austria.

      Believe it or not, mine appears to have died!
      Yours on the other hand looks superb!

        It would be dead in my care though!
        I will make a more concerted effort with them when I move.

        I saw a lovely dark reddish purple Pulsatilla today at the market I just wish I'd bought it:doh:

          Very pretty and I wish I would be able to grow it, but it does require very well drained and limy soil? so not for me, on Devon clay!
