Does one get a reasonable amount of pumpkin seeds from one pumpkin and is it good enough to let them dry or they have to be toasted if eaten as a snack?

Yes there are loads of seeds inside the pumpkin. I've never thought about saving them to eat! I just grow them to carve, as no-one except me likes pumpkin pie and it gets a bit much eating it all on my own. So I have thrown the insides away. Sometimes I've kept a few seeds to grow for the following year, just air dried them on a window sill. That would be the same for eating I'm sure.

Thanks miraflores!

Loads of seeds from a pumpkin Miraflores.
I think if you want to enjoy them you have to to clean, season and roast them.
I'm not such a fan - I just put them out for the birds - they love them.

Hi

Sprinkle with paprika and roast - yummy! You can put them in foodbag of plastic/glass container and nibble whenever.
