    we have been given some pumpkin seeds is it too late to start them off and plant out when ready?

    I reckon that you would be pushing your luck hoping for a crop this year, but you might be lucky if the weather conditions are right. Worth starting a few off just for the experience. At least you will get a feel for whether the plants like the site you have selected for them!
