Can anyone tell me just how many acres of land is required to grow one pumpkin :D
I've got two plants and the main stems must be in exess of 30ft now with side shoots everywhere and not a single pumpkin has set yet.
Loads of flowers but they come to nothing. Tried hand pollenating but that dont work either. :(

:D How do you get them to grow with two pound coins attached Pete?

I have had about six pumpkins up to now, but they grow to the size of a large gooseberry and then drop off

They are watered every evening - can't understand what the problem is this year as I thought they liked high temperatures.

Oh, so thats what a two pound coin looks like, is it? :D
Its pollenation problems, mine were just growing like crazy, and the fruit wouldn't set either but I think we're away now, I've got two the size of apples and getting bigger by the hour.
