      Interesting. Mine is going strong after ten years. No sign of flagging unlikes hyssops, which I love, but are very hard to get established and which only seem to last about three years.

      It will grow on clay. Some people with heavy clay who can't grow lavender grow caryopteris in place of lavender.

      Wonderful plant. I have Dark Knight here, I got it at Wisley Flower show last year but it’s been neglected in a pot :noidea:
