Purple plant turned brown..

    I have a plant that used to be purple but has been brown for ages now. But I think its still alive. Can anyone identify from this photo? Its been on my bacony for about 2 years now.

    Any advice much apprecated, total gardening noob here! :ntwrth:

    It looks like a purple leaved cordyline to me, if its the plant at the rear.

    It may well be dead, as this last winter has been pretty cold and they are not the hardiest of plants.
    You could wait another month or two to see if it shoots.

    It's a cordyline-which kind I don't know, maybe 'Pacific Dawn'? However there are lots of purpl/red ones. I'm sure one of the Tropical Experts will be along soon.
