well i feel i have had a bit of a tough time lately juggling work sick child (chronic) plus teen angst as well as garden, lottie etc - i am now counting my blessings

a dear friend aged 32 had a second stroke yesterday morning and he is in a top oxford hosp having undergone brain surgery late last night

i was with his wife yesterday and they are not sure if he will survive it and say if he does he will most likely be brain damaged

he is a beautiful man - please say a prayer for him and the family for the best outcome possible

    thank you

Oh dear Loopy that is so so tragic, for one so young & really just living his life quietly for that to happen, of course I shall include him in my prayers & I really hope he does make a better recovery than the thought.. Stay strong for your friend Loopy as she is going to need you too.... Thinking & praying that things will turn out OK..

Stories like this only confirm my belief that there is no omnipotent god, because what compassionate being would allow this sort of thing to happen?

Thinking of you and your friend Lou. Fingers crossed the doctors are being pessimistic and he defies them by getting through the surgery and making a brilliant recovery.

still baby steps in the right direction - hes now got 'dancing toes' according to his wife

his trach went well and he spent two hours off the ventilator yesterday - i think they will keep doing this and extend the time off; he got tired breathing for himself

so thanks all for your good wishes - i have passed them on to his wife and shes very touched
