    Hello all

    I Hope you are Well.

I was just wondering, when does everyone take their Hosepipes out of storage after Winter.

I put my Hose Reel, Hose, Timers etc. in storage in Mid December to protect them from the Cold Weather.

I have often wondered when the best Time is to bring them back out.

    Suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

    Kevin

I just drain all the water out of mine and then leave them wherever they usually lie. If they are completely empty they don’t split, in my experience.

We leave ours in situ as well. As long as it’s empty (and stored against the house wall) it seems to be ok.

Last summer was so wet, I never even got the hosepipe out of the garage.

In a “normal” yr, May would be about the earliest for me. And all packed away again by the end of Sept.

      Hello all

      Thanks for the Replies.

I guess, over the Years I have got into the habit of Draining the Hosepipe, removing it from its Wall Mount and putting it in the Shed.

I also bring the Spray Gun and 4 Way Tap into the House, including the Timer.

I will have to try and just Drain it in Future and leave it out, in situ, apart from the Timer and Spray Gun that is.

      What could go Wrong :dunno:

      Thanks

      Kevin

We tend to use our hose all year round except when it is cold enough to freeze it. Used it today to water the plants under cover, dozens of them, and the greenhouse.

My hose stays out all year, just wound up on the wall, I dont even drain it, its plastic.
I do remove the spray gun as I think any water freezing in there tends to ruin the seals.
