Questions you always meant to ask, but didn't.....

I am sure at times we have all had questions arise that we were genuinely curious about, but were either afraid to ask or simply forgot. So, I thought we could have a thread where we could ask these questions, maybe get some answers or answer other peoples, and of course have a bit of a giggle in the process.

There are no hard and fast rules to this (hence it being in The Muppet Show), so questions can be serious or funny, and the answers likewise, and pretty much any subject is allowed (as long as it is within the realms of decency and forum rules).

So, I will kick off -

The first person who dug up a potato and decided to wash it, cook it and eat it - what on earth made them think of cooking and eating something that was essentially the root of a plant?
