this sort of follows from this thread: http://www.gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/what-can-use-cover-herei-t27902.html

Im getting trellis put up at the weekend and so will be looking to plant some climbers on sunday. Once I've done thi I will put down some netting and pebbles to cover the bed.

Is there anything i need to know about planting climbers (depth, prep of ground_ etc? )

    Thanks you

Depends on what climbers you're getting, but preparing the bed beforehand with plenty of organic material and/or compost would be advised.

Will the netting and pebbles be for the zero maintenance approach? If so, maybe wait a while until the climbers have settled in and don't die on you (it can happen). Nothing worse than having to dig up a dead plant...except having to lift membrane and pebbles in order to dig up a dead plant.
