My neighbour has just received a present of a Quince Tree, var: Meech's Prolific. - does any member have experience of this variety ? - any hints or tips, please.
I will be planting it over the weekend.

    No experience of that variety.

Actually, I'm on my first year with a quince - got it in the bargain bucket, with no label, so no idea which variety it is. I've got mine in a wooden half barrel tub against a wall in my secret garden. It's in shade so I'm hoping it will be ok.

    Hi Alex

Its the best variety to have in the UK and its self fertile so you dont need another Quince for it to set fruit , need full sun .

    Good choice
