Quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa) Wikipedia A member of the Goosefoots and related to 'Fat Hen'

I came across several references to this when I was looking at gluten free products. It looks as if it's a pretty usefull addition to the vegi plot or wild area as the seeds are edible (after rinsing well) and can be ground into a flour or even brewed into a 'beer'. Saponins washed off have detergent properties so might even be usefull as a bug spray. The leaves can also be used like spinach.

    Anyone tried growing it?
