[align=center]I'm pleased with my old builders barrow which was bought for a pound and given a coat of galvanised paint before I planted it up. It adds a bit of interest to the border for very little cost.

ThIS old tin bath i retrieved from a skip when my son was renovating his house. It sits on top of a chopped down laurel which I keep trimmed so the bath looks as if it is floating in the border.

They look very good Alana, well done you. If you bought that bath from a reclaimation yard it would have cost you about £200.:gnthb::old:

    Looks good Alana. Well done.
And to think I've just taken an old barrow to the tip.
I can see all the things I could have done with it now.
Oh well, I'm sure more junk will be along - but I'll think before getting rid of it.

That is so inventive. It has inspired me to consider some eccentric containers of my own. I have been growing potatoes in plastic dustbins but didn't like the look of the bare black plastic so dressed it in hessian sacks tied at the neck with rope from the diy shop. It looked better but I'm considering alternative forms of covering.
