He wasn't a very old cat, but he died last night, after a lot of pain in the last week. He got so thin, having no appetite, but still he liked to sit on our laps, purring.

This is how we'll remember him, though......

A cat with character. We'll miss him.

Oh Dendy,I am sorry to hear the news of your sad loss. [IMG]

I don't think any words will be able to help you all at this sad time.I always think it is terrible when any animal dies but it is even worse when it is a young cat.

I do hope that you eventually your tears will stop and you are able to smile at the wonderful memories that you shared of the time you spent with Tom.

RIP Tom and may you find happiness over the rainbow bridge [IMG] [IMG]

Oh, Dendy, I am so sorry to hear about your lovely Tom passing away. I know what you are going through, we went through it this year too, as did Sis and bil.

The sorrow is the same, be it an old or a young pet, we've been here as well.

He's gone over the Rainbow Bridge and is playing with all the other cats up in Cat Heaven. He has no more pain and he is happy.

Our hearts go out to you and Mr D. Thinking of you, xx

Dendro, what can I say. We`ve always had cats and it is so hard when one of them leaves us. We lost a budgie last week and that was quite hard, we`d only had her about 2 months, she wasn`t well about 2 weeks ago but the vet said he could find nothing wrong with her. Unfortunately he was wrong.

Thanks, everyone. It helps a lot to know you all are thinking of him.

He'd stayed at the vet's surgery yesterday to be put on a drip and to start to have blood tests, but the vet rang me late in the evening to say that he'd started to struggle with breathing, been given oxygen, but died. I had to console the vet, who was clearly upset. What a hard job theirs must be. He was particularly upset because Tom was quite young.

Dendro, sweet, sorry I haven't answered before now ... my heart and thoughts are with you with your loss of Tom.

We are still not over the loss of Candi and have not buried her yet. :( I don't think t'other half wants to let go ... the Chokin temple jar sits in front of her portrait behind his computer scrreen, but she's not in there. Strange how they can affect you and she was only 11 months old!

It's a blessing Tom did not suffer long. May he run free with all our other furry friends who have left us with broken hearts. [IMG] xxxx
