    Hi,

I have 3 pet rabbits that have a free run in our back garden, we also have a neighbour who put up a 5ft x 18ft slatted fence a few years ago which we chickened wired bottom of so the rabbits wouldnâ??t chew at it, well they donâ??t seem to be a problem but the neighbour is very intrusive:mad: and after some time has become very nosey, watching and asking what were up to, I cant even put the washing out without a full blown conversation taking place, its getting to all of us that they can see us so think its ok to invade our privacy, I appreciate there getting on abit but there should be a limit. So for the solution a hedge, along that part of the garden but with something the rabbits wont chew and is not toxic to them
( also fast growing ) lol;). Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.:):thumb:

I'm not sure about things they won't eat, but willow is okay if they do nibble it and you can get screens of it :)

Laurel, it's there Winter and Summer. I've just taken 66 cuttings of my laurels for my neighbours front hedge. He's going to pull out all the rubbish which is in there now and replant with the laurels, next year.

Whoa! If you're talking of common laurel, aka cherry laurel, i.e. prunus laurocerasus - it's poisonous. I don't know if that includes poisonous to rabbits but it might be. Here's a list of poisonous plants from the RHS

Why not fence off in front of the hedge?

I would have thought lonicera would be ok rabbit wise but am not sure.

I wish it was poisonous to rabbits, the wild rabbits around here are either immune to it or leave it alone.

Just plant young, fast growing hedging plants and protect them with rabbit spirals. BTW - rabbits eat laurel but are less keen on shrum honeysuckle.

I can solve the neighbour problem--put a hedge up and send them a bill for half of it--we had a nosey neighbour but he was never nosey again after he got that bill!
