What do you do with yours? They seem to be multiplying here but it makes for some good bunny stews, roasts and Southern fried rabbit :D
My nan was telling me a story about a Ferrel rabbit that she kept as a pet when she was a little girl and she came back from school one day and couldn't find the rabbit so she went and asked her mum and it appears that they had it for Sunday lunch the day before
Got me going now fmay 1 or 2 rabbits jointed 1 432g tin pineapple pieces 1 green pepper chopped 8 tomatoes chopped 1 onion finely chopped 1 tbls soft brown sugar 2 tbls wine vinegar 2 tbls soy sauce salt and pepper 1 tbsp cornflour METHOD:- Sweet 'n' sour rabbits 3Kb Place all the ingredients except the cornflour into a heat proof dish simmer gently on top of the stove for 1 hour or until the meat is tender. When rabbit has cooled remove meat and chop into small pieces. Mix cornflour with a little water add to heat proof dish bring to boil stirring all the time. Then add the pieces of rabbit back in the dish with the sauce, reheat and pour into a serving dish. Serve with boiled rice or pasta and salad. :thumb:
Deer roasted on a spit is exceptionally nice as well. Nowt like a bit of venison now and again in the greenwood...all dressed in green tights and other such apparel.
That's getting a bit ambitious Tweaky  (We have got a whole pig living in the freezer who is going to join us for a spit-roast party later this year) ...............but at the moment it's got to be bunnies :thumb:
Heh,heh.:D But I'm up for the spit roasting when you do it. Although I would require a bit of floor space for the night somewhere..:thumb: You've got my email addy.
All this talk has made me hungry and my hunter killer obviously can read too, cos he just walked across the patio with a bunny towards his favorite eating spot. He sits on the woodchip pile and jumps on warren exiting bunnies. Good lad.
