    Hi [IMG]

I have a number of seedlings in my conservatory , all doing fine except the radishes, which got to about 2 inches high and then flopped over, wonder what made that happen?

Steve, radish are much better sown straight into the ground. They only take about 6 weeks to reach maturity, so by growing in containers in your conservatory you are just forcing them. Hence , they`ve gone leggy and fallen over.

David. I used to grow radish straight into the ground but something nasty used to put holes in them So I then grew them in containers. And they all fell over. 8 years and no radishes. So now I go to Tesco. :D

Growing radish is a misnomer. After years of trying, I've proved it. I grow lots of lovely leaves but NO raddish on the end of them. I think people who say they are growing the things are fibbing.GRRRR!

John, if your radish had small, pinprick sized holes, in the leaves, they would have been caused by Flea Beetles. You can control them by keeping the soil moist. Flea beetle affect all members of the Brassica family.
