Wife likes to snack on grapes.

I like to snack on radishes.

    But which is best?

      Both really.

Grapes are mainly water & fruit sugar but do have vitamins.

Radishes have fibre and vitamins & trace elements.

      All good in the winter:)

Japanese Radish? Better for hand to hand fighting rather than snacking

Are they wasabi? My mate says wasabi is like horse raddish but bigger and hotter.

No, they are more like Mooli (like you can buy in the supermarket).

I grew some one year and was disappointed in the blandness.

I also grow horseradish, our home made stuff is exceptionally hot. Never thought about growing Wasabi, I do like it with Sushi. I wonder if it's possible to grow in this country.

I grew the Black Spanish Radish some years ago.

It was huge, black skinned, white flesh and Orrible.

Seed pods were great in stir fries though:dbgrtmb:

Do all radishes produce edible seed pods?

For that matter, do all brassicas produce edible pods? My brussels sprouts went to seed last year and I was tempted to use the pods but bottled out at the last minute.
