I sprayed my best rose at lunchtime yesterday as it's covered in rust - and at about 8pm we had the rain. Cloudburst, tropical deluge. Will that wash off the spray and should I do it again? This is a big climber that I had moved overwinter and really want to establish it in it;s new spot.

Yes the rain will have washed off the fungicide, unless it's a systemic one. It will also have spread spores from the existing infection. I'd take off all the infected leaves, if they can be reached, feed the rose and re-spray during a dry spell :)
