So pleased to see the rain (and you don't often say that when you live in north Cumbria!:heehee:) But it's stopped now and the sun is out again. Oh, and the wind - sigh.

Some much needed rain has fallen over the weekend, but it has also been windy. We've had enough now, thank you, all water barrels full and plants' thirst sated.

Cheshire is getting wet too. It's nice to have Ireland placed where it is as it takes the sting out of any bad weather before we get it:heehee::D:thumbsup:

We had some seriously heavy showers here in Suffolk today.
Spent most of the afternoon dodging them at work. First one took me by surprise, when you've worked outside for as long as I have you usually know when there's one coming, but this one sneaked up from behind some tall trees and pounced while I was still engrossed on the task in hand. No warning, just instant deluge.
Another one started about an hour before knocking off time, so I donned the trusty waterproofs and carried on. Putting on the waterproofs usually results in the rain ceasing almost immediately.
Not this time it didn't, it simply rained harder than ever with a good dose of thunder and lightning thrown in for good measure. This continued relentlessly for the next hour while I finished the job in progress.
At precisely 4-25pm, just as I finish putting away all the tools and locking the shed, the rain stops and it's brilliant sunshine and blue skies all the way. :fingerdrum:
Ah well, such are the joys of gardening for a living.

Staffordshire has been very wet too! Although it's dry at the moment, managed to have a little peak in the garden and things have certianly swelled out :) my helenium seems to have particularly enjoyed the showers :)
