Rainbows .... beautiful, beautiful rainbows. We've been going through some horrendous weather these past weeks as well with frost, torrential rain, electrical storms and hailstorms interspersed with sunshine .... but just a while ago we were rewarded with a rainbow ....

:)Pleased to have shared it Sis, Dave and Lyn.

Dave, my new camera was shipped to my friend in the UK last week ... unfortunately for me he was here, now he's back there and has to on-ship it to me .... :dh: But my lovely old Kodak didn't let me down in the poor light ....

I'm like you Lyn ... love both rainbows and waterfalls but don't have too many of the latter here in the Algarve sadly but probably do further North ... so shall have to investigate .... :)

:) Thank you Robert. I'm currently using my year 2000 Kodak DC 4800 Zoom Digital ... and I didn't have time to put any attachments on (with which I'm not very clever with anyway :dh:).

My new camera, as and when I get it is a Fuji Finepix S1000fsD so I have a big learning curve ahead of me I imagine I will still take the Kodak with me .... better the devil you know (although I've only know him two years) ..... :hehe:

    :) Thanks, Marley.

It was quite difficult as I took the first two photos from in front of the house ... it's the now-deflowerd almond tree on the left from the strorms (so must change my avatar) and the smaller of the two Jacarandas on the right hit by the frost with the Mioporo in the middle.

The camera has an xxxxxxx processing period per shot although I can do a four-burst shot but that is not very useful to me. Then I had to gallop around the house in the rain and up onto deck to take the last four photos .... such is life trying to be a GC photographer ..... :hehe:

Must say though I'm pleased with the end result. :gnthb:

Lovely Rainbows Vicky - and I would have loved to see you galloping round the house to take more pics.

Found a pic I took from the front of our house a while back. The rainbow looks very bright when the sky
is so dark - it was mid-afternoon.

And thanks for moving the musically-oriented posts to their own thread :thumb:
