This was taken a few weeks back, but gives an idea of what I'm trying to do by removing digging and make access to the ground easier. The small tunnel was bought for me a few years ago and the wind smashed it too bits, the plastic fittings lasted about a week. This now sits on top of water pipe and is working great, but choosing what lives in it needs some work. I'm trying to grow Bulb Fennel which will benefit from the protection, as are the lettuce, but the carrots and beetroot don't really need covering. Next year I might try other low crops that don't normally like our northern climate.
