raised beds

    hi everyone
    in a couple of weeks ,we will be moving house,problem is, thereis only about 6 inches of top soilon top of solid rock,i would like to fill the garden with flowers,but,is there sufficient amount of soil or would it be better to put raised beds instead ? and what type of raised beds,

    I think this question has been asked before but If you need a permanent job then stone walling, bricks[recycled] railway sleepers. Treated timber constructions need to be well braced and look resonable. Fill them up with good soil and look on this site for planting ideas.
