Raspberries. Summer or Autumn fruiting.

I am about to buy a couple of raspberry canes for my other half's birthday. As I understand it, I'm not likely to get fruit on summer fruiting canes but wonderd if there was any chance of one or two even, appearing on Autumn canes?

Your expert knowledge gratefully appreciated.

 

I had fruit the first year on my "Lidl specials" autumn fruiting

 

You may get some on Autumn Fruiting varieties, but I spent the first year concentrating on getting mine established.

I doubt that a couple will give you much of a meal until they have spread quite a lot.
