Raspberry Bush Refurb ?

    My friend has given me a raspberry bush in a container. This is overgrown and straggly and in a poorish condition . Should I just prune it back to a tidy shape now and crop it right back in mid winter ?

      I should have known I need to do 3 weeks of research before knowing what to do :biggrin:

        Its a Malling promise early fruiting Raspberry. So I can repot and follow the summer pruning instructions above ? Thanks @JWK
