    Hi oktarine. Some time ago (when I used to have a plot) I also used toilet roll cores to start off my parsnips (in the greenhouse). I found this a really good way to ensure good germination AND to fill up the rows. It`s worth mentioning that once the seedlings are showing, they should be planted pretty soon afterwards otherwise there`s a risk of breaking off the root as you lift them. Cheers...freddy.
