I don't think it's possible to post on GC in your dreams @shiney.

 

Today the Degus escaped from their cage and had the house to themselves for the entire afternoon. Following the trail of droppings, they apparently had inspected all of the ground floor but:

• No nibbled wires ( and they had plenty to choose from, starting from the internetty thingy right by their cage via lamps and fridges to the oven...)
• No nibbled skirting boards (their absolutely favourite treat)
• No plants eaten apart from a taster of some herbs, even though some trailing plants reach the floor
• No stolen objects (they are particular to crayons and Monopoly pieces)

They had found their treats box and even left the sunflower seed shells in a neat pile.

The destructive power of a bunch of degus is incredible, so the pristine condition of the house was indeed a reason to be relieved and cheerful. Exchanging fridge or oven wires could have been seriously expensive


A potential catastrophe, which didn't happen.

(OK, I'm still peeking under furniture and listening for sizzling sounds from electric appliances... too good to be true... )

 

Chating to a friend and i couldn't stop laffing, Freind went the diy store for a few things and took his son with him

I had a giggle this morning. My show (Corrie Street) has a character who's a bit thick and goofy. Well, this morning in one of the scenes, he was playing the guitar and singing one of his own compositions. Your Soul, My Soul, Our Soul... and of course you can picture the reactions of the other actors. I think they were genuinely amused, not just play acting. Too much fun!

 

Did completion on our townhouse by the coast yesterday. More than doubled our money in eight years so good investment.

 

Oh, are you moving somewhere? I know you mentioned it was getting more expensive but the lovely climate would be something I would dearly miss!

 

No Lori, it was a rental property just for investment which paid off. We live in an old cottage in the country which we love ... 20 minutes from the sea and 20 minutes from the mountains, ideal. We would never leave Portugal. It is still cheap to live here. In fact, have lots of Canadians and Americans moving here. One of our close friends is Canadian and they can now get flights cheaply direct from Toronto.
