    Hi All,

I scarified and reseeded our front lawn in mid-May, just before the red hot weather. We watered regularly and it came on a treat. Recently, I’ve noticed patches of dead, brown grass appearing all over the lawn and don’t know what’s causing it. It’s been very wet recently and the lawn can get soggy but does seem to drain ok.

I treated it with Verdone a good few weeks ago as there were still some weeds.

Any help or advice is appreciated, as always.

    Thank you.

I think using verdone so soon after seeding was a bit risky.

I thought that may have been the response. How do I revive it? Re-do the scarifying and seeding?

      Thank you.

I would do very little, other than water as needed. Give it time to build up strength and a good root system.

Looking at the pic again, I don't see any really problematic weeds. I'm afraid weeds are a given when establishing new grass. But I wouldn't worry unless there's anything particularly challenging like brambles in there. Once the grass is stronger and you start mowing regularly, the weeds will just vanish and the grass will take over.
