Hey - Ive been clearing an unloved corner of the close where I live, which Im told at some point in the past was an orchard (and we have two old, huge apple trees that back that up) - theres just enough space to put a couple of smallish new trees & I fancy a couple of crab apples for colour & wine - jam making supplies.

Can anyone recommend a good supplier that I can order these trees from ? I was thinking something like Prairie Fire A TREE A DAY
would do well but I suspect that I will have trouble sourcing them locally so will probably end up getting them delivered.

Any recommendations on who to use & who to avoid ?

    Thanks - Nick.

Thanks for the recommendation - its a bit of a drive from here but they have some really nice stuff !

I got home with Malus Harry Baker:

      and Malus Pink Glow:

      - It was a such a nice afternoon that Harry Baker got planted out. Pink Glow will have to wait until the weekend 'cos it took a lot longer to dig thru the builders leftovers for future episodes of TimeTeam than I had planned

... theres about 2 foot of compost in the hole already which should give it a decent start !

:D Well done, good looking trees, I just looked Harry Baker up that looks a very nice fruiting one... I am sure they will be very happy in their holes by the looks of it, just don't forget to water them in well & then at least twice a week if like me you are not getting much in the way of rain... :sunny:

Really need to do some weeding over in that corner, if it ever stops raining.
