Has anyone used textured paint for grippiness on their decking when wet? Last year especially during winter the deck was super slippy and with Mrs L with a +1 I don't really want any accidents.

I just put a bit of fine sand in with the paint (not too much) and give it a good mix but do a test with some spare paint and sand first differant sands and paint will have differant affects

    Hi there

Trouble you are going to have using one of those paints on an installed deck is it ever being dry enough to accept any sort of paint. In my experience ends up being a tatty waste of money.

Jet washing and an application of a fungicide should get you through the winter.

Hi Scot, that was one of my main concerns actually. I'm also pondering just ripping the whole lot up.
Will have a quick look at the floorpaintexpress site but won't be mixing up my own!

I've read in the past about some such stuff used on those floaty quayside deckings in harbours & marinas.
