Hi all with summer just round the corner and my greenhouse nearly finished (floor going down next week) I’m looking at some auto window Openers I’m not looking to spend a fortune (I need 10 of them) but I’m looking for something that’s going to last any recommendations would be great
    Thanks all

I don't know of any good openers that are inexpensive. Mine cost $75 each. That would add up fast with 10 wi dows.

I don’t mind spending the money on them but don’t want to spend £50 on one that’s going to last the same as a £10 one so really just looking for ideas

I use Bayliss, have done for years, I've got 4 on the go.
Best thing is, if, as is often the case with these things, the cylinders start to fail after a few years you can buy new ones and refit them yourself.
Mine are more than 20yrs old I'm guessing and I've replaced all the cylinders once.

Hi Notty 1975. I like your enthusiastic prophersy, " summer is just around the corner" My Greenhouse is a Halls Cedarwood one. I bought it second hand back in 1984. It has two roof vents and I soon fitted auto openers to both. They are simple design and perhaps back then a bit costly, thankfully today they are still fully functional. I believe they operate on a kind of paraffin wax system. Never had any problems with them. Hope you find what you are looking for. Best wishes.

You can buy auto vents, and new pistons, off of Ebay for around £13.

I'm going to get one for a new vent I've put in.
