need a new sprayer for weedkiller, about 5L capacity will do.

Turns out that Hozelock have changed their advertising so now list them as the total capacity of the tank, including the air above the MAX FILL line. So for 5L I have to buy a 7L one. I hate companies that do that sort of thing to make their products look cheaper, and set about catching their customers out.

The nozzle thing is all plastic, and I wonder if I should buy one with a brass nozzle.

A decent filter, inside the tank, to stop the nozzle blocking would be good. I always gunk-in-my-tank, after a while.

I'l like a trigger that is easy on my increasingly arthritic hands. Normally used with "lock", but between plants with stop-start. Must NOT drip when off!

I'm tempted by the Matabi Berry sprayers. My Trade supplier lists them (but hasn't had any in stock for as long as I can remember - so either they rated them, at one time, but haven't bothered to reorder - they are pretty hopeless in that regard - of they stocked them once and they were a disaster and they haven't stocked them again!!). Had nozzles more like the agricultural ones - interchangeable, and cone-shaped pattern

There was one of those (only bigger!) in the shed when we moved in here. Knackered though :( The whole site was rough grass and I reckon he just towed that up and down the lot and sprayed it - not that the grass was weed-free or pristine ...

I do have a large knapsack sprayer, but its heavy to wear, and getting it onto my back means having a decent table or similar high work-surface to stand it on. But I use that (with a 3x nozzel bar) to put selective weedkiller on the lawn.

But ... I've been thinking about getting a small wheeled sprayer for that purpose. Trouble is, there is no handle to pressurise the tank, so it needs to be electric - more cost, weight, and things to go wrong!

For this job I just need a portable sprayer so I can get in & amongst the beds and paths

Did fine this for £30 though:

12L Pump Action Sprayer on Trolley with a high performance pump with metal pump lever; large funnel shape filler opening, brass lance & nozzle; adjustable spray pattern, mist to stream; large on/off trigger; flexible 3m hose (approx)

Quite like the sound of that one, particularly the brass nozzles. Not what I was looking for in-the-borders though :)
