I've had 2 'full size' tripods hanging around for many years, far too big and heavy to carry aroung all the time, frustrating when taking out and then returning without finding a use for them, so I've been using a monopod until I bought one of these a while ago, yes it's lightweight, but OK with a cable/radio remote, and small enough to hardly notice I have it in my bag, so it actually gets used, and that's what it's all about.

The legs fold upwards, reducing the overall size, I've just measured mine and it's only 340mm long when folded, when my Manfrotto monopod is 450mm folded (although far quicker to get a quick shot with when roving).

Just seems to fit in well with my micro 4/3 kit, smaller cameras/lenses should require smaller tripods.
