Recommendations For Grass Seed

There is a huge amount of choice of grass seed, so just go for whichever is best for your situation (i.e. shade tolerant, high-wear, fine lawn etc)

My only advice is that you buy fresh seed, as many suppliers have a bad habit of completely leaving off the date of manufacture. Fresh seed will give you a much better rate of germination.

 

I get mine from Boston Seeds, but probably not cost effective if you only want a small amount. They have a decent range though, so should allow you to select appropriate type for shade / hard wearing / bowling green
