Recycled plastic drums

    My hubby has used two plastic drums to make us a water butt and a strawberry planter, thought I would post some pics for you all

    looks good, a little tip I was given by a pro painter was that for painting plastic simply to give it a slight key folowed by a single coat of gloss, no primer needed this is how he did plastic gutters etc

    Your water butt looks better than ours - we have just cut the tops off and ladle the water out with watering cans - we have got 5 around the outbuildings:)
    My daughter also uses blue barrels as jump wings for her showjumping practice and cut inhalf they make feeders for the cows.

    Excellent stuff, I'm hoping to do the same! Where did you get the drums from?

    OH works in the family business and they make wet wipes, the drums are what they get the fluid in :)
