I would like to start off by saying hello to everyone as a new member. I have a few problems with bugs eating my flowers and I would like this to stop.

i would like to post pictures but I dont appear to be able to do that. They are red bugs that eat round holes in the leaves. How do i get rid of them?

Are these arum or lilium or something more esoteric Maxillian. 'Lilies' covers loads of unrelated plants.

Hi Maximillian and welcome to the site. What you have is an infestationf of Lily Beetle. I would pick them off and stomp them.:thumb:

If they are little beetles with small dimples on their "wings/shell" then they are Lily beetles. In which case quash em, squash em and squish em for good measure. They also make a funny noise when bothered that alerts any others around that danger is about and they all drop onto their backs to hide. Maybe put a towels around the base of the lilies to catch them in the act. Also if you see small orange eggs underneath the leaves then squash these too and the poo covered grubs that stuck under the ends of leaves. I have a fav stone to do my squishing and I think it's working this year.
