Red cordyline baby?!

    Sorry if that's just a rough discription! but I have one that's doing very well in a large pot and it has a baby.

    My question is how can I take that baby and put it into another pot?

    IS the baby comming from trunk/stem or out of soil next to main red star

    It seems to be coming out of the soil next to the main red star.

    Hey Stingo, the best way is to carefully nose around the off shoot to see if it has any independent roots, if it does then feel for the connection to the mother plant and sever.

    :thumb: They seem to respond to root disturbances with offshoots. Some off shoots are pretty well attached too. You may find over time you get more from harvesting that off shoot.:)
