Oh, I envy you Glen, out walking and meeting up with such a subject, lucky you! And not just one photo but four and it does look like she is posing for you in the last one! Like Woo and his foxes.

Where did you see them Glen? I remember seeing a red deer stag in the Peak District near the Roaches but thats the other side from you. It was the closest I had ever been to one. When i came across it I thought it was a sculpture cause it was so close and still.

Geoff-the deer are part of a small herd on blackamoor although there is a substantial herd on what I know as big moor although i'm not sure thats the proper name!

walnut-no patience needed! the stag(actually there were 2 of them) i stumbled across without even knowing there were deer on the moor, i was just lucky i had my camera in my hand!! The latest photo's are on the same moor and again it was just chance that I spotted her from a fair distance away but she was only a few hundred yards from the path I was taking anyway. It was just a case of slowly walking towards her. She didn't seem too concerned either, when she spotted us( i was with my dad) she took a few steps towards us before ambling off down the hill away from us.

Everyone else- thanks for the comments, they are much appreciated [IMG] hope they encourage people to get out there, with a pair of binoculars and a camera!!!
