Quick question. The dead leaves on my red hot pokers look very unsightly .Is it safe to pull them off now or should I wait till spring ?

What's the hurry, Doug:scratch::heehee: I would leave them until more gentle weather comes in Spring and then tidy it up.:D

I would agree with Armandii. Red Hot Pokers are often described as not that hardy - so any extra protection is always welcome. However just watch it. At one point in spring my old foliage started to rot and turned to mush. I would worry that it could induce the rest of the plant to rot. In that case it didn't, but I wouldn't leave mush for long in contact with an otherwise healthy plant.
