    Hi all

Lily beetle's loving the sunshine today !!!!! well until I found them

Just keep a eye out like Armandii said in a earlier post , not always on the lily plant as mine are only two inches high.

Both sitting on a foxglove leaf but not far away looking at those big fat juicey buds

I've got two large pots crammed with lilies and the lilies are about 6" high so far - and as yet I've not seen the lily beetle. You live further South than me, Spruce, so no doubt you're suffering them before I do. I'll be keeping an eye out for them !

The little gits ! I saw two of them 'doing' what bugs 'do', so I brought them to a timely end. What a way to go! :D

What do you mean, Galore, you never see them??!! They're those red things sitting on a deck chair inn the sun, wearing sunglasses on the lily leaves - you can't miss them!!

      I say , I say, I say, Ziggy, were they Lily Marlene's???

Trouble is I saw another three today - they buried down at the bottom of the garden now, RIP.

Last summer I treated twice all my lilies with a low concentration of freshly squeezed lemon. I rubbed the stems and both sides of each leaf with a cotton ball. It worked as a perfect repellent. :)
