Red ornamental grass

Hi,I bought a lovely red grass last year (Sorry don't know the name) and I wonder if I should cut it off. It has looked really good all winter but all of a sudden it looks tatty.

Hi Chrysocolla i generally cut mine back about this time of year,the above link might help for id purposes.
