Anyone got some growing where they don't want it? Feel free to dig it up and post to me if so. I am happy to send a SAE to pay postage costs. ]

    Thanks

Actually, the white ones are pretty too and would go well with red if I can find some!

They have tap roots, so don't like being dug up much unless they are very small. You could always go out into the countryside where it grows at the side of the road. Its an natural wild flower. Or you could wait and get some seed from one. They are very easy to grow from seed.

I am afraid I have just finished my weeding and got rid of any seedlings. I agree with you - they are lovely.

I planted some Red Valerian last year in one of my borders and if it has survived the winter I will send you some from the Heart of Cheshire. I think Valerian is propagated by division so as soon as it's viable I will do so and pot it up for you. The safest way of mailing it to you would be a plastic bag filled with damp compost put in another envelope. We can only try! I don't think it's legal to dig up wild flowers from the countryside so I wouldn't try that!!
