Tesco SD card prices aren't normally very cheap but they appear to have substantially reduced their prices both in store and on Tesco.com (but not as much on Tesco Direct). What I like about this is that it easy for returns if something goes wrong. Today I got 2 x SanDisk Ultra 32gb class 10 SDHC cards @ £10 each (normally twice that elsewhere) and used a £3 off £20 shop voucher that came in the post yesterday, getting them down to £8.50 each (and used a gift card given as compensation for a mistake they made getting them down to £6 each). I went to an Extra store, ignored the half empty displays, asked at the electrical desk and a very helpful member of staff pulled them out of a drawer for me.

Once I'd bought those I enquired about a micro sdhc for Mrs Scrungee's new Moto G 2nd Gen and got a Sandisk Ultra 16gb class 10 for £6.50, once again there were none on the display but he went to the warehouse and got one for me. This was bought as part of a separate shop using another £3 off 20 voucher, the other stuff being mainly pizzas free with vouchers and items free after cashback, so 3 extremely cheap cards.

Some might be here, but I gathered it was best to check in (an Extra?) store and ask what's their best deals.

Bought another sd card today, 16gb Sandisk ultra class 10 40mb/s for £6.50 to use as a spare, cheapest price elsewhere about £9, but if anything goes wrong in the next 12 months all I need to do is walk into my local Tesco and get a refund/exchange, rather than post it back to an online supplier and wait for a refund.

As these are classed by Tesco as 'grocery' in my links above, they should be able to be included in the likes of £15 off first £60 grocery shop for new customers (you are a new customer every time you make a first order with a new email address) using code XX3FP6, so include £40's worth of reduced SD cards and if they're not on the display for the personal shopper to pick, reject any alternatives (unless better value !) and still get £15 of the remaining £20's of shopping! Use free 'Click and Collect'. Bargain, 75% off your shopping even if you fail to get the bargain sd cards. Use codes such as GRHGJJ to get £3 off £12 dairy products and include sufficient other stuff as Philly cheese (which cost half as much at Asda http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/shopping/findproducts.aspx?query=philadelphia 280g ) to get number of different items up to 10, and after Price Promise (works out at £7 back if buying 5 packs) and you'll actually make a profit on your shop. (£20-£15-£3-£7 = £5 profit).

So at worst, pay £5 for £20's worth (possibly more) of food, get a Price Promise voucher for more than what the other stuff cost, plus some bargain sd cards.

This is win win if your local store has the cards and win win even if they don't.

Will Class 4 cards work in that camera? I only buy class 10 so they will work with every camera we have.

EDIT: Or is a D50 a really old camera that may only work with low class SD cards? I assumed it was a modern camera above, but a quick google found this http://forums.anandtech.com/archive/index.php/t-57362.html
