    "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

    "Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

    "At the going down of the sun and in the morning

    "We will remember them."

      It's very moving @shiney.
      I donated the one I bought [ceramic poppy] to one of our museums. They were doing a special centenary display. It felt like the right thing to do.

        Beautiful @shiney but so poignant. I have a ceramic poppy in the garden , always a reminder of those lost.

          I'm just bringing this back up as today is Armistice Day and we have just had two minutes silence at the 11th hour, of the 11th Day of the 11th Month to commemorate all of those who fell in WWI and since.

            It is not 8 a.m. yet here and the ceremony I shall be watching starts at 10:30 and is taking place at the Canadian War Plane Heritage Museum. I quietly shed tears of sorrow, for those we lost and with pride for all of our past and present veterans, during the moment of silence at 11.

            Lest We Forget.

              I thought you might like to see this image below. My daughter works voluntarily for a charity that trains dogs for those people with various disabilities in Canada. @CanadianLori you may have heard of it - it's called Pads.

              This dog was trained to help a person who has PTSD. I think the image is quite poignant...
