Hello again, I hope someone remembers me.

I loved coming here and sharing my gardening experiences with you all, but towards the end of last summer I found myself very depressed and gave up on almost all of my hobbies. I managed to keep some sort of order in the garden tho, and in fact it again has become my savior.

I am feeling a lot better about things now and hope to have put the depression behind me.

I am looking forward to renewing friendships again.

        Hello
I remember you and it is really good to see you again. Depression is absolutely awful, but so glad that you are on the mend and enjoying your gardening, I too find it a tonic whatever mood I'm in (and yes like many others I've been down the depression route a few times myself!).

Anyway, glad to see you and look forward to chatting on your posts.

        GG

Thanks for all the kind comments.

@Marley Farley, not as such, I have my seeds sown (still got more to do) and it is going to be challenge enough to motivate myself (somedays I can be on a downer). I am determined tho' and might get to building my cold frame. The better half has promised me a PROPER greenhouse, as my blow away got hit by a mini tornado, and was literally ripped from its ground ties, so will have that to build.

I remember you too @Gdnam. Depression is a horrible thing. I've been there. The worst bit about it, as you know, is that it is a vicious circle. The worse you feel, the more withdrawn you become, and the more you hide away, the worse you feel. I'm glad you've found the motivation to et out in the garden again. Well done. It takes a lot of effort to start climbing your way back out of it, and once you start, as you have done, it only gets better.

Oh, and when you do have a bad day, don't be afraid to come on here and tell us all about it. Sometimes you just have to get it off your chest.

Good to see you back again!!! :blue thumb: Been there with depression and as you can see so have a lot of others on here so we understand what an enormous effort it takes. Some days you will feel as though you are just hanging on by your fingernails, other days will be better you just have to keep fighting. Having a new greenhouse to look forward to should help a lot!! Look forward to seeing you on here again soon. :)
